1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover

Multitap is published by Multitap, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("Multitap", "we", "us"). These Terms cover multitap.gg, the early access list it runs, and the content we publish there (together, "the Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Some parts of Multitap are in private beta. Participants receive separate Beta Terms with their invitation, which apply to the beta on top of these Terms.

2. What Multitap Does

Multitap reconstructs classic games. It reads a game while it runs and rebuilds its world in 3D, so you can play it in mixed reality and, later, in other ways. Today the Site presents the project and takes sign-ups for early access. The reconstruction app itself is not yet available to the public.

3. Games and Game Files

  • We do not sell games. The Site does not offer game files, BIOS files or other game data for download.
  • Your files are your responsibility. When Multitap asks you to provide a game file, you may only use one you own or are otherwise authorized to use, and you are responsible for that choice.
  • Game names and characters belong to their owners. Clips and images on the Site show games reconstructed by Multitap as technical demonstrations. Multitap is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by the publishers of the games it shows, unless we say so.

4. The Early Access List

You can join the early access list with your email address and, if you want, answer a few optional questions. Joining does not guarantee access, and we choose who receives early builds first. We use your answers only for early access, as described in our Privacy Policy. You can leave the list at any time.

5. Using the Site

You agree not to:

  • use the Site to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • disrupt the Site, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or overload it with automated requests;
  • sign up other people without their consent, or use a false identity.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site, or 16 if you are in the European Union.

6. Our Content

The Site, the Multitap name, its logos and wordmark, and the texts, images and videos we publish are ours or used under license. You may share links to the Site and our public posts. Other uses need our written permission. This does not affect anyone's rights in the games shown, which remain with their owners.

7. Reporting Illegal Content and Copyright Infringement

  • Copyright: if you believe something Multitap makes available infringes your copyright, follow our DMCA Policy.
  • Other illegal content: you can report it to legal@multitap.gg. Please include (a) why you consider it illegal, (b) where it is, precisely enough for us to find it (for example a URL), (c) your name and email address, unless the report concerns child sexual abuse material, and (d) a statement that you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete.

We confirm receipt, review each report without undue delay, and tell you what we decided. If we restrict content or an account, we tell the person affected why, which rule or law we applied, and how they can contest the decision by writing to legal@multitap.gg. We do not use automated tools to make these decisions.

8. Contact Points

9. No Warranty

The Site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will be available, error-free or that early access will open at any given date.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Multitap shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site is limited to USD $100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Multitap, its officers, directors and agents from claims, damages and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or of anyone's rights, to the extent permitted by law.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware.

If you are a consumer in the European Union: nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will show the date of the latest change at the top of this page, and we will notify early access members by email of any material change. If you keep using the Site after a change, the updated Terms apply.
